George Herman Wyatt

1931 ~ 2019 (age 87)

George Herman Wyatt entered eternal rest on Friday February 22, 2019. A Graveside Service will be held at Masonic Cemetery on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Mike Hofacket officiating. He is the son of the late George Herman Wyatt Sr. and Myrtis Sophia Webster Wyatt of Massachusetts. George Jr. was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on June, 1931 and was baptized at Christ Episcopal Church in Fitchburg Massachusetts in March 1932. George attended Fitchburg Schooling then entered the Coast Guard in Puerto Rico from 1948-1951. Following his well-known father’s footsteps, George went into construction and served many capacities such as Construction Sight Manager, diamond driller, etc. He worked for Hamilton Construction and Bola Brothers Construction, to name a few. He belonged to International Union of Operating Engineers #9 from 1961-1973. He was a member of International Brotherhood Teamsters #492. In his later years George worked under Burns Security and Renzenberger Inc. at the dispatch center in Lordsburg, New Mexico and drove as an independent driver in his later years. He married his wife, Leanna June Marczinke in 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He and his wife, of almost 50 years, both retired in 1993 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. He became a Mason at Daylight Lodge #44 in 1974 in Nevada. He was a member of the Lordsburg Lodge #30 for over 30 years and a member of the Silver City Masonic Lodge #8. George was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Nevada #341, Faith Chapter #61 in Grants, and Tyrone Chapter #41. He was a member of the Elks since 1967, Loyal Order of the Moose since 1989, and Knights of Pythias. He was an avid motorcycle fan and a staunch Republican. George has one daughter, Johanna Wyatt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A cousin, James Hancock of Massachusetts.
