Evelyn Marie (McBride) Peirce

February 6, 1934 ~ July 18, 2019 (age 85)

Evelyn Marie McBride Peirce, 85 of  Bayard, New Mexico passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Silver City Care Center.  A Funeral Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on 

Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2:00pm, with pastor Randy Teague officiating.  Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery under the direction of Bright Funeral Home.Evelyn was born February 6, 1934 in Fort Bayard, New Mexico, her parents Ernest H. McBride and Florence M. McBride.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank E. Peirce Jr. a brother Jerry McBride, two son in laws Ron Perry and Jim Mealer.  She is survived by two sisters Ernestine Mauk (Ray) of Waterford, VA, and Barbara Gilbreath of Abilene, TX, one brother Steve McBride (Pauletta) of Arenas Valley, NM, sister in law Janet McBride of Cliff, NM, five children Debora L. Holmack (Richard) of Chaparral, NM, Lorraine S. Perry of Bullhead City, AZ, Frank E. Peirce III of Yuma, AZ, Fred E. Peirce of Couperville, WA, Donna M Mealer of Memphis, Tennessee, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Evelyn attended high school in Silver City, NM, after graduation she went to Holet Dieu Nurses Training in El Paso, Texas.  Then married Frank E. Peirce on August 28, 1954. She worked as a psychiatric Technician at Patton State Mental Hospital in San Bernadino, California.  Worked as a certified group therapist in Yuma, Arizona.  She lived in Chaparral, NM and was active in the First Baptist Church there as music director and adult SS Teacher.  She was a member of home extension club and crafts club.  In 2001 would be back to Silver City, NM to care for her mother until her death in 2008.  Evelyn was a member of Copper Ridge Fellowship. Her hobbies were crochet, oil painting and crafts.  Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. “Traditional Services and Care for your family and friends”, 210 W.
